Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background In advanced stages dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), both atrial function and left ventricle (LV) myocardial mechanics are blunted. Left reservoir strain (LASr) is a sensitive parameter for (LA) evaluation. Our study aimed to find correlation between LASr depression rotational parameters damage in patients with DCM, using 4-Dimensional automated LA LV quantification. Methods We enrolled 75 DCM narrow QRS 30 healthy volunteers. The evaluation consisted clinical examination, laboratory tests, 12 leads electrocardiography. All participants underwent complete transthoracic echocardiogram determine cardiac structure according the current guidelines. Measurement was performed 4D Auto-quantification software. evaluated by Auto Atrial Quantification. Quantification measured twist torsion. Results 1. divided into two groups: 27 fibrillation (AF) 48 sinus rhythm (SR). 2. Mean values were 10.20 30.36 volunteers’ group. (P<0.0001). Rotational twist=1.66, torsion=0.44 patients, twist=10.1, torsion=1,73 AF, mean lower ( =9.52, twist=0.97, torsion=0.28, torsion=0.4) than SR (LASr=10.59, LVtwist=1.93, torsion=0.5) 3. A found (r=-0.8), torsion (r=-0.78), also those r=-0.74 twist, r=-0.73 torsion). Conclusions reduction related patients. LASr, cases AF. chronic increased filling pressure. decrease anomalies may suggest link pressure dysfunction phenotype.

[Left ventricular function in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy].

Functional state of left ventricle was studied in 43 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. All the patients showed pronouncedly reduced total ejection, stroke volume and cardiac index, increased final diastolic and final systolic volumes, decreased ejection rate indices. Analysis of regional contractility of left ventricle allowed to detect significant fall of ejection fraction in 96.3% of segm...

Left Atrial Volume Index in Patients with Dilated Cardiomyopathy—Correlation with Left Ventricular Function

Background: The aim of this study was to determine the relation of left atrial (LA) volume and LA volume index with left ventricular function and to determine the association of duration of symptoms and left atrial volume index in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Materials and Methods: This was an observational, single centre study conducted in India. A total of 50 patients who were admitt...

Left ventricle restoration in end stage ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy

Background Patients with end stage dilated cardiomyopathy exhibit extensive remodeling of the left ventricle, annular dilation, and significant mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. These changes increase perioperative morbidity and mortality, and emphasize patient candidacy for heart transplantation. We previously published that Reductive Annuloplasty of Double (mitral and tricuspid) Orifices co...
